Dealership history

Summit Ford was originally opened by Les Vickers in Woodbridge in 1968. This facility housed 15 employees working a two-car showroom and a seven-stall service department. In January 1972, the new facility was opened at the present site. Summit Ford was the only building in the area and certainly stood out against the surrounding farmer's fields. The year 1984 saw the changing of the guard. Scott Vickers purchased the business from his father, Les Vickers, late in the year. The eighties saw Summit climb to become a top ten volume dealer.

A major expansion was completed in June of 1989 increasing the service and body shops by 75 percent. Brian Vickers joined Scott and became a partner in 1988. Today Summit Ford employs nearly 100 people in various capacities. Each employee shares the same dedication and vision that has spirited "Team Summit" to strive for excellence in Customer Satisfaction. We have achieved the annual President's Award more than 25 times. Our customer satisfaction levels have exceeded Blue Oval Certified standards, each year since it's inception in 2000. We work very hard to offer first class sales and service for our valued customer, and we will not rest until our customers are fully satisfied.
